After you have graduated this part of your training comes the apprenticeship. You will need to get a plumber to hire you on as an apprentice to help out on his jobs. He will then let you take on more and more responsibility as time moves forward. By the end of 4 or 5 years you will be fully trained and can obtain your license.
Plumbers make an average of about $60,000 USD every year. This is higher than the median annual salary of $45,000 USD per year. It also depends on where you live. If you are a plumber in Melbourne, Florida, you may make less than say a plumber in New York City for example.
